The Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. – John 1:14
This blog began because I fell in love with Jesus of Nazareth, God in the flesh, the great Yeshuwa, the Savior of the whole world, of all time. I accepted His grace for my life when I was 14, and since then I’ve been wonderstruck with the God of the Bible. My aim here is to show God for who He is TRULY is: the perfect combination of love and grace.
I think twenty-first century Christians are really confused no what it means to be full of both truth and grace. The Church seems to be on two sides: either we abandon the truth in the name of “love,” or we abandon love in the name of “truth.” The amazing thing is Jesus did neither of these things. He was perfectly loving and perfectly truthful all at once, all the time. I’m aiming to be like Him in this space online, and to call other Christians to do the same.
I don’t really have a specific theme, but since the focus is how to engage a secular culture (with love & truth), you will see a lot of topics discussed such as:
- common issues/encouragements in the American Church
- news and politics
- music, movies, and books
- feminism and the LGBTA+ community
- just good ole praise/encouragements/theology
My biggest longing is to see the Church engage with the world as Christ did.
I think Christ cares a lot about how we handle media and people that are different than us. I think we should consider these things with the importance that He did. I think it’s hard to navigate being a twenty-first century Christian who wants to both acknowledge the sins of our culture and yet love people radically well. I think we all need to give each other a little grace and open our arms to each other a little wider, all while holding tight to the truth of God’s word like our lives depend on it.
I think a lot.
I’m get lost in my mind a lot.
Welcome to Earth to MM.
Love,
Mary Mad
